The total sales of the iPad Tablet PC in the second quarter of 2012 is totaled at 17 million units against 7,000,000 units last year, according to research firm, IDC. California Giant of leadership has its 68% credit in the global market tablets while the previous year it was amounted to 61.5%.
Second place goes to Samsung Electronics but its presence in the market is measured by only 10% and this corresponds to two million tablets sold. In the 2nd quarter of 2011, the market share of South Korean giant was 7%. At the third place in the producers of tablets, there is an American online retailer, Amazon which sold 1.3 million models of Kindle Fire in the last quarter which enabled the company to gain control over 5% of sales.
In total, Sales has been exceeded to 25 million tablets units between April and June, calculated at IDC. This is more than 10 million units compared to last year.
